Released as the album’s second single on January 28, 2002, the song was co-written by Iglesias, Steve Morales, Kara DioGuardi, and David Siegel. The accompanying music video, directed by Dave Meyers, features tennis star Anna Kournikova and portrays a passionate romance between the two, both on and off-screen. The video was filmed at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center and the CityWalk shopping area in Universal City, California. Commercially, “Escape” reached number three on the UK Singles Chart and number 12 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
