“Luther” is the third single from Kendrick Lamar’s sixth studio album *GNX*, blending contemporary R&B and hip-hop with elements of 1980s R&B and freestyle. The track features a sample of Luther Vandross and Cheryl Lynn’s 1982 rendition of “If This World Were Mine”. The music video, directed by Karena Evans, showcases Lamar and SZA amid brutalist architecture, paired with models and dramatic visual breaks. The video concludes with Vandross’s original version of “If This World Were Mine”.
