So Pure is an energetic alternative rock track by Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette, released on June 14, 1999, as the fourth single from her fourth studio album, Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie (1998). Co-written and produced with Glen Ballard, the song reflects Morissette’s exploration of dance and movement as expressions of purity and freedom. The accompanying music video, directed by Morissette herself, features her and then-boyfriend Dash Mihok as dance partners transitioning through various styles and eras, including ballroom, salsa, swing, tap, contemporary, and rave. Filmed over two days in Toronto, the video premiered on AOL on June 25, 1999, marking one of the first major artist video debuts on the internet.
