Press release:
After teasing the release of the second single and video for debut album title track ‘Faith/Breaker’ for the last eight days, the wait is finally over!
At 12noon today, the highly anticipated video from Aurora premiered worldwide on AltSounds.
Having been waiting to release the video, which was filmed at Robanna’s, in Birmingham, famous for hosting West Midlands heavyweights Black Sabbath and UB40 for rehearsals, by Zak Pinchin Media in April, the brummie five-piece are finally able to unleash their true selves in the world.
Frontman Rhys Whitehouse, who joined the band after former frontwoman Jess Calvesbert left at the beginning of the year, said how the release of ‘Faith/Breaker’ brought everything the band has worked for in 2015 together at long last.
He said: “The video is the ‘cover letter’ to our album’s theme; the culmination of intense hard work, stress, and going skint for months for the sake of funding what we do.
“We recorded this video back in april after a rollercoaster of a start to me joining the band – up until early hours writing an album’s worth of lyrics in just under two weeks, getting trains at 5am to make it to Bristol to power through recording eight tracks with a pummelling headache.
“Please take the time to check out and share what we have worked tirelessly to achieve this year, and what will no doubt be a landmark in Aurora’s new chapter.”
The video for ‘Faith/Breaker’, title track and second single from the debut album of the same name, will be available on YouTube from 12noon tomorrow (Saturday, 3rd October 2015).
Faith/Breaker, the album, will be out on 23rd October 2015 and available via digital download, streaming services, and in stores nationwide.
To celebrate the release of the album, Aurora are playing a hometown album release show at The Rainbow Venue, in Digbeth, Birmingham, on 14th November 2015.
Tickets for the event are priced at £6 and are available here.
