Band Of Skulls has shared the video for current Radio X and Radio 1 supported single ‘So Good’. It sees bassist and vocalist Emma Richardson take lead vocal and further displays the band’s foray into new territory after recent track ‘Killer’, whilst they summarise the Jack Lightfoot directed video as “birds of prey on the prowl, neon roller electric boogaloo, a pulse and cherry red whirl or two, it’s So Good for you!”

The trio have also announced an intimate album preview show to take place at The Lexington, London, on May 18. A limited number of tickets will go on fan pre-sale at 9am on Friday May 13 before a general sale at 9am on Monday May 16. Fans are limited to 2 tickets per transaction and the show is 18+. Pre-sale tickets are available from https://bos.lnk.to/LexingtonPre-Sale.

The Lexington show precedes a sold out night at London’s Electric Ballroom on May 19 and joins a series of intimate warm up dates that have seen the band previewing forthcoming album By Default, out May 27 via BMG, across the UK and Europe. Festival dates includingGlastonbury and Benicassim will follow the album release before the band will embark on a UK tour, culminating with a night at London Roundhouse on October 26. A full list of tour dates is below.

By Default, their fourth album, was produced by Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters, Patti Smith) and recorded in Rockfield Studios. It is the sound of a group on the sharpest form of their career, more engaged and focused than they’ve ever been. The follow up to 2014’s Himalayan, from the English trio – made up of Russell Marsden (guitar, vocals), Emma Richardson (bass, vocals) and Matt Hayward (drums) – the new record came about via a conscious decision from the band to take a step back from their relentless world-wide touring schedule, having never spent more than a month off the road in the last 2 years. The upcoming live shows – for which the band will be joined by touring member, Portico’s Milo Fitzpatrick – will be the first airing of new material from By Default.

“It’s definitely a new era,” says Russell Marsden. “The first three records were like a trilogy, a piece of work in of themselves. We wanted to do those things, and we did them all. We took a breath, took a look at what we’d done, and started from scratch again.”
