Blondie – The Hardest Part (1979)

Directed by: David Mallet

Released in 1979 as part of Blondie’s *Eat to the Beat* album, ‘The Hardest Part’ is a funky, rock-infused track about an armored car robbery. With Debbie Harry’s cool vocals and Chris Stein’s guitar work, the song became a staple of the band’s signature new wave sound. The music video, directed by David Mallet, features graffiti from Jean-Michel Basquiat and Fab 5 Freddy, adding to its edgy, urban aesthetic.
