One Hell of an Amen is a poignant tribute by Brantley Gilbert, released on November 10, 2014, as the third single from his album Just as I Am. Co-written with Mike Dekle and Brian Davis, the song honors the memories of a fallen soldier and a friend who succumbed to cancer, highlighting their courage and resilience. The accompanying music video, directed by Shane Drake, premiered in January 2015 and features scenes of Gilbert performing in an abandoned church, interspersed with narratives of the two individuals’ battles. The video concludes with a dedication: “In honor of Jon and Kory, and all those who have fought the good fight.”
