Eurythmics’ “It’s Alright (Baby’s Coming Back),” released on December 30, 1985, as the fourth single from their album ‘Be Yourself Tonight,’ showcases a blend of synth-pop and soulful elements. The track, written by Annie Lennox and David A. Stewart, features brass arrangements by Michael Kamen and production by Stewart himself. The accompanying music video, directed by Willy Smax, combines live-action and computer animation to depict a narrative where Lennox, after a car accident, experiences an out-of-body journey, while Stewart traverses the globe to reunite with her. The song achieved significant chart success, peaking at number 12 on the UK Singles Chart and earning the duo the 1986 Ivor Novello award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.
