Floating Points – also known as Sam Shepherd – today shares a video for ‘Nespole’, the opening track from his forthcoming debut album Elaenia (out via Pluto in the UK and Luaka Bop in the US on 6th November).
Directed by Sander Houtkruijer, the video features intense and intricate footwork from dancer Kiani Del Valle that was choreographed to the song itself.
Shepherd will perform with an 11-piece orchestra at London’s Islington Assembly Hall on 17 November. Tickets sold out in less than a day.
‘Nespole’ follows the previously shared ‘Silhouettes’, which was recently added to the BBC 6 Music playlist.
The harmonograph used to create the artwork for Elaenia will be installed at Rough Trade East in London throughout November, with opportunities for fans to create their own Elaenia artwork prints in real time. These will be limited, and more details are to come.
