The song was inspired by a visit to comedian Lord Buckley’s estate, which he called “Crackerbox Palace.” The promotional music video was directed by Eric Idle of *Monty Python* fame and aired on *Saturday Night Live* in 1976. The video features playful, surreal imagery, including cameos by Idle and Harrison’s wife Olivia.
