“othello” is the lead single from hard life’s upcoming third studio album, *onion*, set for release on July 18, 2025. Written and recorded in Japan by frontman Murray Matravers, the track blends mellow hip-hop with cinematic alt-pop elements. The accompanying music video, directed by Charlie Drinkwater, was filmed in Tokyo and explores themes of trust, identity, and emotional uncertainty.
