Ingrid Michaelson’s “Hell No (ASL Version),” released on July 19, 2016, is a groundbreaking collaboration with Deaf West Theatre that brings inclusivity to the forefront of music videos. Inspired by Deaf West’s performance of “Spring Awakening” at the Tony Awards, Michaelson partnered with the theater company to create a visual experience where six deaf and hard-of-hearing actors interpret the song’s lyrics through American Sign Language (ASL).
