A poignant country ballad, “Last Call” delves into the emotional complexities of a woman resisting the temptation to reconnect with a past lover who reaches out only during moments of loneliness. Written by Erin Enderlin and Shane McAnally, the song was released on June 30, 2008, as the lead single from Womack’s album *Call Me Crazy*. The accompanying music video, directed by Trey Fanjoy, is presented entirely in black and white and was shot in New York City. It features Womack navigating the city’s nighttime streets, interspersed with scenes of a man drinking alone in a nearly empty bar, attempting to contact her. The song achieved significant acclaim, peaking at number 14 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and earning a Grammy nomination for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
