Enigmatic Brighton based duo Miamigo announce their brand new single ‘What I Want’, to be released through Indian Hop Recordings on 13th November. Written and produced by Miamigo, the pair return with their refined dark pop sound ‘What I Want’, taken from their forthcoming EP.
‘What I Want’ is a modern dose of pop that hints at their love of 80s classics and draws inspiration from the suburban landscape of the band’s surroundings. The new single the band say “is about a restless wait and the virtue of patience that battles inhibitions and alter-egos, dreams and delusions.”
Miamigo released their ‘Hard To Love’ EP in June to much acclaim, with Clash describing it as “sublime noir pop, as tasteful as it is emotive” alongside support from The 405, Hilly Dilly and DIY to name a few.
Live, Miamigo’s songs take on a life of their own, with their charismatic and slick sets seeing them play shows at The Great Escape, New Shapes @ Notting Hill Arts Club, Huw Stephens Presents @ The Social and Brighton’s Green Door Store. Miamigo will be returning to the stage this November for Community Festival performing at Hoxton Square Bar & Grill.
