Morning Parade – Alienation
Morning Parade – Alienation (2014)
Directed by: AUDIO TRACK
Morning Parade will release Alienation, the latest single to be taken from their new album, Pure Adulterated Joy (SO Recordings), on 3rd November. The band will precede the single release with a London show at Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen on 9th October, with further UK live dates expected before the end of the year.
“The lyrics come from the kind of shit that’s constantly in my peripheral and rattling around in my mind,” lead singer Stever Sparrow says of Alienation, which is already going great guns as a single in the United States, where it has charted in the Top 30 in the Alt Radio charts. “It’s my nervousness about everything that is going on, the questions that I can’t answer, that no one can answer.”
Pure Adulterated Joy is the follow-up to the 2012 debut that saw Morning Parade make huge waves in the US, with sell-out tours and radio hits that included a single which stayed in the US radio chart for an incredible nine months solid. The Harlow quintet’s new album was recorded in Atlanta with producer Ben H. Allen (Kaiser Chiefs, Animal Collective).
Pure Adulterated Joy finds Morning Parade in a tighter, more determined focus than ever before. Going back to the basics, sprinkled with a generous helping of adversity and change, was the precise formula needed for this, the quintet’s most accomplished work to date.
