Mr Fogg – Youth (2010)

Directed by: Francis and Stephanie Lane

Mr Fogg (“Genius” – NME) announces the release of the music video for Youth, the title track of his third album out now on Kicking Ink Recordings/Kompakt. The clip, directed by husband and wife duo Stephanie and Francis Lane (Cold War Kids) is a stunning portrait of two siblings as they battle each other on a pirate ship built on the fringes of a post-industrial wasteland.

Youth follows the release earlier this year of Time To Ascend (“Joyous” – Clash) and a sold out five day chamber-pop installation at this year’s Brighton Festival.

Mr Fogg is an artist that continues to defy convention. The grandson of an opera singer and the great-grandson of two nineteenth century music hall performers, his first two albums saw him film a music video in one shot in Trafalgar Square; collaborate with Hollywood’s enfant terrible Tony Kaye (the Oscar-nominated director of American History X); spring a marching band on the television audiences of Reading and Leeds festivals; and perform forty times in three days in his own pop-up Fogg shop. More recently he spent much of 2015 working behind the scenes on the release of Thom Yorke’s album Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes and masterminded the world-first blockchain release of Imogen Heap’s Tiny Human. He has worked with musicians as diverse as Broadchurch-composer Olafur Arnalds; BAFTA-nominee Micachu; electronic music innovators Raffertie, Maribou State and Bondax; Bjork, Feist and Damon Albarn producer Valgeir Sigurdsson; and techno legend John Digweed.
