Street Dreams, released in October 1996, is the second single from Nas’s album *It Was Written*. The song samples Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” and reflects Nas’s vivid storytelling about the pursuit of wealth and the consequences that come with it. Directed by Hype Williams, the cinematic video takes heavy inspiration from the 1995 film *Casino*, featuring Las Vegas visuals and a mobster theme.
