The accompanying music video, directed by Martin Kahan, features Skaggs navigating New York City with his “Uncle Pen,” portrayed by bluegrass legend Bill Monroe, showcasing that he’s still a “country boy at heart.” The video includes cameos by Ed Koch, then-Mayor of New York City, and was nominated for Music Video of the Year at the 1985 CMA Awards.
