A cinematic narrative of youthful escape and resilience, “Young Once” is a track from Sam Hunt’s sophomore album, *Southside*. Released on April 16, 2020, the music video, directed by Tim Mattia, follows a young couple fleeing troubled homes in search of freedom. Their journey includes hopping trains, sleeping rough, and eventually arriving at the fictional Southside Motel, a setting also featured in Hunt’s “Hard to Forget” video. The video stars Dashiell Connery and May Daniels, with a cameo by Hunt himself. The production was managed by London Alley Entertainment, with cinematography by Justyn Moro and editing by Jen Kennedy.
