Run Silent (also known as “Run Silent, Run Deep”) is the fourth single from Shakespears Sister’s debut album, ‘Sacred Heart’ (1989). Released on October 2, 1989, the song showcases the harmonious blend of Siobhan Fahey’s and Marcella Detroit’s vocals, with Detroit’s presence more prominent in the single mix. Despite its polished production and mature pop appeal, the track peaked at number 54 on the UK Singles Chart and number 47 in Australia. The accompanying music video, directed by Sophie Muller, complements the song’s ethereal quality.
