A retro-inspired drama set in the 1960s, “Babe” portrays a love triangle involving a married couple and a secretary. Jennifer Nettles plays the betrayed wife, Taylor Swift embodies the redheaded “other woman,” and Brandon Routh stars as the unfaithful husband. The video’s aesthetic draws heavily from the TV series *Mad Men*, featuring vintage costumes and settings. Directed by Anthony Mandler, the visual narrative was conceptualized by Swift herself. The music video premiered on June 9, 2018, following a teaser during the 2018 CMT Music Awards.
