Tame Impala – Let It Happen (2015)

Directed by: David Wilson

Following their Top 3 UK chart entry and with their eagerly-awaited UK live return just over a fortnight away, today Tame Impala unveil the video for ‘Currents’ bold opening stanza and album highlight ‘Let It Happen’.

Teaming up with English director David Wilson for a second time, this visually stunning video is a surrealist take on the transient, overworked existence of a modern day businessman. A species buckling under the strain of red eye flights, dwindling profit margins, listless hotel accommodations and soulless departure lounges, for ‘Let It Happen’ Wilson paints a picture of one man’s pressures reaching boiling point in his inimitable, dreamlike fashion. Tame Impala and Wilson previously collaborated on the music video for ‘Lonerism’’s ‘Mind Mischief’ and more recently Wilson was nominated for a Grammy for his stunning statement for Arcade Fire’s ‘We Exist’. Watch the video above.

In other news, Tame Impala begin their European tour on the 20th August, reaching Ireland and the UK in September for a series of festival and regional shows, taking in End Of The Road, Electric Picnic, Glasgow, Liverpool and Bestival.
