The Japanese House – Cool Blue
The Japanese House – Cool Blue (2015)
Directed by: Juliet Bryant
After sharing single ‘Cool Blue’ – taken from her forthcoming EP, Clean – last week, The Japanese House (a.k.a 19 year-old Amber Bain) is today unveiling the video to the EP’s lead single.
Following the release of her acclaimed debut EP, Pools To Bathe In, earlier this year, which saw Zane Lowe make track ‘Still’ his last ever “Hottest Record” on Radio 1, the young Londoner will release her new EP on the 6th of November through Dirty Hit Records.
Recorded during the summer with George Daniel and Matthew Healy, ‘Cool Blue’ follows on from EP title-track ‘Clean’ and, with an added flicker of rhythmic guitar continues to see The Japanese House expand on the unique, brooding, melancholic electronica showed on Pools…, whilst continuing to push the parameters of alt-pop with her luscious, hazy and engulfing sound.
Along with the release of Clean [EP] The Japanese House will be embarking on her first ever live tour, starting at The Bullingdon in Oxford on 4th October and taking in a run of 10 dates.
