The Timelords – Doctorin’ the Tardis (1988)

Directed by: Bill Butt

Doctorin’ the Tardis is a 1988 novelty single by The Timelords, a side project of Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty (better known as The KLF). The song is a mash-up of the Doctor Who theme, Gary Glitter’s “Rock and Roll (Part 2)”, and other glam rock influences. The music video, directed by Bill Butt, features Ford Timelord (a 1968 Ford Galaxie) driving around the countryside, chased by Daleks. Shot in Wiltshire, England, it became a memorable part of late 1980s pop culture.
