If the Good Die Young is an energetic country anthem by Tracy Lawrence, released on January 24, 1994, as the fourth and final single from his album *Alibis*. Written by Craig Wiseman and Paul Nelson, the song narrates the tale of a rebellious man who believes he’ll “live forever if the good die young.” It became Lawrence’s fourth consecutive Number One hit from the album, topping the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart in April 1994. The accompanying music video, directed by Marc Ball, was filmed at Charlotte Motor Speedway and features NASCAR footage, including tributes to drivers Alan Kulwicki and Davey Allison.
