Brewing up an emotive brand of lo-fi House from his home studio in darkest Epping Forest, production protégé TYTHE releases his debut long player on 19th August.
With remixes for David Lynch and Crystal Fighters, TYTHE has been filtering through the internet ether since early 2012. Dropping his first original track Let The Dance End on the back of a Bestival DJ set in September and following it up with the timeless Balearic groove of album taster Totem Poles – a John Kennedy XFM ‘Hot One’ earlier this year – TYTHE laid down a trademark blend of the organic and electric.
Although a producer of undoubted skill, TYTHE goes beyond studio aplomb and knob twiddling. While tipping its hat to the avant-garde, And Also With You can still evoke every sunlit morning-after and every future frolic in a field. With popping beats and euphoric lifts of the finest dance music tradition, lead single Careless Woman peaks with full-throated vocal sample, while Run Into The Sun and Set in Drone are built on tougher ground, there’s a psych-hop detour with cult folktronica artist Merz (Summerbelly) and a ghostly vocal contribution from Rachael Dadd on The Light.
