FatCat records present the video for ‘A Part of It’ – a stellar opus taken from Scottish powerhouse We Were Promised Jetpacks’ critically acclaimed album ‘Unravelling’, out now on Fat Cat Records.
‘A Part of It’ carries on where the band’s previous video for ‘Peaks and Troughs’ left off, charting the outcome of a celestial event that remains unexplained. Starting a dark and sinister course through a rural dystopia, ‘A Part of It’ offers a flimsy conclusion, but ultimately leaves the viewer with a tangible feel of the alienation perpetuated by the central characters.
We Were Promised Jetpacks have already achieved considerable success and have a large fanbase, but ‘Unravelling’ shows at them at a new peak, which (combined with praise for the recent premiere of album track ‘Safety In Numbers’ from Stereogum, Indie Shuffle and DIY) sets a likely scene for their reaching a higher level of accolades and renown.
